costco is in taiwan and it's a household name here. it's beautiful: there are little demonstration stands, there are huge boxes of cereal, and large bottles of salad dressing. it is the saving grace of us american teachers out here in taiwan, especially when we need things like good birthday cake and huge slabs of meat. :)
